A peaceful settlement to the ongoing war in Afghanistan may now be anticipated. In February 2020, the United States reached an agreement with the Taliban, and also signed a declaration with the government of Afghanistan to encourage the initiation of an intraAfghan peace process. Many challenges still stand in the way of a success of negotiated settlement and, with the US withdrawal. India emerged in Afghanistan as a development partner in Afghanistan. Indian approach towards Afghan peace process is less concerning as compared to security issues of Afghanistan, Indian has great security policy.
